Frequently Asked Questions
-
What can I expect during the initial consultation and subsequent therapy sessions? We will begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to determine if we are a mutual fit. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial session. During the initial session, I will ask detailed questions to get to know you better and understand your concerns and goals. Together, we will create a personalized plan tailored to your specific needs and what you aim to achieve from therapy. Subsequent sessions will be scheduled at mutually convenient times to continue our work together.
-
Do you accept insurance?I am in-network with Aetna and out-of-network with all other insurances. Please reach out for more information.
-
What are your rates? My standard rate for a therapy session is $200. However, I understand that financial circumstances can vary, and I am open to discussing sliding scale options to make therapy more accessible. If cost is a concern, please feel free to reach out, and we can work together to find a rate that suits your needs.
-
Where are you located? While I am based out of NYC, I see patients virtually throughout New York state and New Jersey.
-
How often should I attend therapy sessions and for how long will I need to be in therapy?Therapy is most effective when attended on a weekly basis. This consistency helps maintain momentum in addressing your concerns and achieving progress. However, the frequency of sessions can vary based on your individual needs; there may be times when you require more frequent sessions, and other times when fewer sessions are sufficient. As for the duration of therapy, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients seek short-term therapy to address specific issues and may find resolution within a few months, while others opt for long-term therapy that can extend for years to continue personal growth and development. The length of your therapy will be determined by your unique circumstances, goals, and the progress you make along the way. My focus is on providing personalized care tailored to each client's specific needs and objectives.
-
What is your cancellation policy?I require 24 hours cancellation for all scheduled appointments. If appointments are canceled with less than 24 hours notice or missed, a cancellation fee will be charged.
